Team:            Under 12’s

Coach:          Steve Bryne

It was a short but very successful year for the U12 Hills Hawks, welcoming quite a few new players which was just outstanding. Each week saw the team make positive improvements in both individual performances but most importantly their performance as a team. They all trained hard and played hard, but new how to have a good laugh.

The team displayed excellent character both on and off the field, showing sportsmanship and pride in the jersey. The U12’s united all year and played hard to the final whistle in all games, never giving up. The comradery within the team was outstanding and the sense of not letting each other down was present and real in both the way they trained and played.

There were some remarkable victories this year and beating the top teams was of course the highlight, but there were some heartbreakingly narrow losses that the team took on the chin and learnt from. It was a true team effort in all games, with every player not wanting to let each other down. This was evident in the team reaction both after a win and a loss, it showed what playing for Hills Hawks and each other really meant.

We were extremely disappointed with not being able to finish the season as the team was getting better every week and still had a lot of good football to produce.

Very proud of the U12’s and can’t wait till next year!
